M.R. Insolvency is an independent firm of Licenced Insolvency Practitioners providing expert and impartial advice to directors of small and medium sized businesses and to individuals.

The business was formed by Michael Royce in September 2017 after having worked for a number of boutique Insolvency firms and medium sized accountants within the Insolvency department since 2002.

Michael provides straightforward down-to-earth advice based on each individual’s and/or company’s specific financially distressing situation. Michael has a strong ethical value approach and prides himself with helping people when times are difficult, often reducing the stress of the current situation in the company’s or individual’s financial position.

Michael is licenced by the Insolvency Practitioners Association and is a member of R3 (The Association of Business Recovery Professionals).

Initially, I trained to become an accountant at a local firm in Huddersfield achieving the AAT (Association of Accounting Technician) qualification before starting my journey within the Insolvency profession. I qualified as a Licenced Insolvency Practitioner in 2009.
 
During my time in Insolvency, I have dealt with a range of Administrations, Liquidations, Company Voluntary Arrangements for sectors including hospitality, construction, manufacturing, retail to mention a few. I have also assisted with a number of Solvent Liquidations which include s110 reconstructions.
 
Outside of work, I play football for my local team which I have for over 20 years. I also enjoy watching Leeds United and Chicago Bears mainly as an armchair supporter. I enjoy playing golf and travel to new parts of the world whenever I can.
